After picking up this year's Australian Music Prize (modeled off Britain's Mercury Prize) along with a slew of other awards and a debut on U.S. soil at SXSW, the buzzed about psych from down under is ready for its international birth. Jumping from Sydney's Ivy League to a worldwide release on UK label Infectious Music, Cloud Control take hand clapping and tambourine to heart in "Meditation Song #2 (Why, Oh Why)". Duel vocals throughout and a hint of reverb add a nice touch of modern to what the group's bio charmingly calls "warmly nostalgic, but never retro". Check out debut album Bliss Release when it hits the states May 23.
