Luckybeard's frenetic remix of A-Trak’s sunglasses-at-night anthem “Ray Ban Vision” takes the line, delivered in Cyhi Da Prynce’s casual croon, “I’m like Tom Cruise off of Top Gun” and manipulates it into an Alvin and the Chipmunks squeal, then loops the phrase again and again until it transforms from antagonizing repetition into a kind of hypnotic trance. And that’s only the first two minutes. The original song picks up briefly for about a minute in the middle, then fades out again abruptly to allow that retro proclamation to return once again, even more forceful and intense than before. As if Tom Cruise in Top Gun wasn't irresistible enough already.
