Holidays do strange things to people. Swedish duo Korallreven—made up of writer Marcus Joons and The Radio Dept's Daniel Tjäder—are heavily influenced by a sojourn Joons took in Samoa, and their music seems to harbour an incorrigible desire to return to those warmer climes. So, while the original version of this track ambles to a tense, tub-thumping end, Korallreven imbue it with the soft-focus humidity of the track that has become their calling card: last year's heartbreakingly good "The Truest Faith". The result is something that, while not a million miles from This Is Head's own "0007", contains just a little bit more of that bliss that's missed. Joons and Tjäder's debut album arrives later this year—more news on that soon.
