As far as bedfellows go, Asobi Seksu and Xiu Xiu are as unlikely a pairing as a latter day Gary Busey and Emma Watson: one visibly and audibly unhinged, the other prim, neat and kind of lovely. It's a dispositional clash of heads that produces a disorientating buzzing sound in the cerebellum: a symphony of twangs, fizzes and elongated pulses that amounts to a beguiling remix of Asobi's "Perfectly Crystal".
