The music Wolf Gang makes isn't at all similar to the hip-hop shock currently being wrought so spectacularly upon the world by his Odd Future colleagues. This is the sort of synthpop that actually got played on Eighties radio back in the day—opulent and bold despite its yearning. Hey, you know I'm kidding, right? Wolf Gang don't wanna kill 'em all. "Dancing With The Devil" isn't about stabbing pop stars in "their goddam oesophagus", and he doesn't look the kind of guy to get down with 'roaches. He's a lover, not a fighter, and his debut album Suego Faults drops in June.
