All the talk coming out of the Filthy Dukes camp around the release of their new Machine Clap EP is of huge, synth-driven behemoth tracks made to steamroller festival tents, but this remix deserves the loftier term applied here. What Visions Of Trees 're-imagine' "Forecast" to be is something far more intimate and sulky, Sarah's throat imbued with that blank yearning that so many house, garage, disco and drum n' bass producers have longed for over the years (the vocal-led tracks on FaltyDL's You Stand Uncertain the most obvious recent example). I wonder if she'll be one of the faces in the crowd when Filthy Dukes play Fabric tomorrow night? If you can't make it yourself, Machine Clap is available now at Beatport.
