Real underground hip-hop heads will remember Tanya Morgan, a Cincinnati and Brooklyn rap trio highly touted for their 2006 album Moonlighting. From that group is Donwill whose solo career is about to expand from his first full-length Don Cusack In High Fidelity to this new single, produced by Wallpaper (who made waves with a remix of Das Racist's "Combination Pizza Hut And Taco Bell"). "Love Junkie" is all about precisely that, although perhaps a little bit less blissed out love letters and more next-day notes on the nightstand. But here we've got the remix and what is a good DJ? Someone who can turn a rap track seamlessly into something more like UK Funky. That's the kind of second wind So Shifty has breathed into the already vibrant sails of the song. You can catch the original as well as a B-side, "Look At Me", on the Love Junkie single out March 1 from 11 Inch.
