Oh, how badly I would love to write, "Mr. Dream smells like teen spirit" but I fear that the Corny Police will actually take me away this time and I don't want to go anywhere after hearing "Holy Name". Sometimes we need a little reminder of why punk works so well and this is an ample example. It pushes the boundaries of what a song should sound like—not immediately accessible to everyone (which is a good thing) but unapologetic about its obvious catchiness. A collection of these records can be found on the band's debut album, Trash Hit, which comes out March 1 on God Mode. They'll be celebrating the release at Glasslands in Brooklyn on March 4 and will open for RCRD LBL favorites, Sleigh Bells and CSS, for four dates in early May.
