Upstate New York wouldn't generally be my pick for place of origin when I hear spirited indie punk, but Oneonta's Cattle Drums has proven me wrong. Almost conversational in tone in the vein of Say Anything (absent the whining, don't fret), the vocals add a nice touch to an aggressive and unpredictable take on melody. "Who Punched Pat Moore's Face" is off the digital EP The Boy Kisser Sessions + 3, and look for the group's debut LP out on Tiny Engines later this Fall.
