The natural response to Cloud Control's latest single might be, "What, like whales and shit?" but obviously London's bretonLABS sashay down their neural pathways on the 'wrong side' of the road, because instead they've turned in a fizzing, twitching electro-pop remix of "There's Nothing In The Water We Can't Fight". Is "remix" a genre now? All the familiar tropes are there: a sweeping disco beat, a cut, mournful vocal line, video game bass and faux-naive synths all competing for supremacy. The original's more settled I guess, but it has its own charm—find that, out March 7 through Infectious.
