PREMIERE: NewVillager - Rich Doors (Machinedrum Remix)

Longtime RCRD LBL readers are probably familiar with the original cut of NewVillager's "Rich Doors" with its psych-y synths, bits of falsetto and all around acidic warbles and have been interested in what the Cali duo has been up to. Apparently, last March, they put together a 30+ person performance at their home, which included interacting with different art installations. Their penchant for collaboration lends itself nicely to this Machinedrum remix of "Rich Doors". While it is stripped of its original psychedelia, it still maintains some of those mind-melty qualities. The falsetto is still in tact, as well, but is now rife with robotics, too. This housier version is all in anticipation for what is to come—a self-titled debut full-length from NewVillager out this summer on IAMSOUND. Get psyched.
