PREMIERE: The Aikiu - The Red Kiss (Brodinski Remix)
Last week, we told you about the 16 Candles music movement that is upon us and The Aikiu's "The Red Kiss" is just like the opening of a Molly Ringwald romp, setting the stage for love duel. But his style is not perfectly definable. His single, "Just Can't Sleep" is a hybrid Talking Heads and new wave, but edging toward something that could easily be performed by Rihanna and we're sure he's cornering a sound that we maybe didn't know existed yet. Another turn toward the unexpected is French DJ Brodiniski's revision of "The Red Kiss". What's happening here is a little bit more John Carpenter than John Hughes—a pierce of meticulous synths and warped vocals.
