Ridiculous ninja defense skills are not the only thing Raekwon is bringing to the table, it's choosing who to work with. That's especially clear with the left coast super high sounds of Sac-Town MC Mean Doe Green. "Gonna Need Me" is smoked out and rugged while "Blue Ribbon Rap" is the perfect synthesis of classic west coast and Wu-Tang beats. In a game with so many metaphors and qualifiers for being the best, the originality of declaring your rhymes blue ribbon works double as a testament to MDG's creativity. "Lead a man to the stage, but you can't force him to grind" goes the chorus and with all that laid back ferocity, it's clear that Mean Doe is on his.
