You can do a lot when your band has eight members, and Albany's Aficionado takes little time to make this point. Boys singing, girls singing, punk, rockabilly, cabaret—it's all here, and "Do Nothing, Be Nothing" is a four-minute carnival of sound. The traces of World/Inferno are out and about, which is not all that surprising when you share Don Fury as producer and recorder (the same Don Fury behind Quicksand and Gorilla Biscuits). The track is from last winter's EP on No Sleep with a full length slated for the summer, and the whole gang will be hitting the road on an upcoming US tour.
