Brats with brains, Gold Blood pair Emile Bojesen and Michael Anthony Wright do interesting things with bad apples: keeping Black Flag, McLusky, Blood Brothers and whoever had the audacity to make power funk in the Eighties back after class to read Kierkegaard and Derrida. Thus "Say Something" will suit both kinds of people—those who think with their feet, and those who vote with their heads. Then there are these weird bits that sound like you dreaming of crashing Mario's kart and getting sucked through a coma-hole into the Teletext dimension. Their next single "Gets You Laid" promises more fun to be had while laying down, and it's out February 21 through Ex-Yat.
