DOWNLOAD: Junip - Always (Prefuse 73 Remix)

There seem to be a lot of things you can do with José González-fronted Junip's very lovely, "Always". When Run Roc gave it new clothes, it became a suiting muted Tropicalia, but what about something more lush? Here, Scott Herren (using Prefuse 73, one of his many aliases, for this track) has refitted it with calming interstellar hydraulics. Steady drums with a gurgling murmur of synthesizers laid atop and pulled long like Silly Putty with the vocals shot high into constellations. This remix is luxury spaceship music.
