I've met Ramona Gonzalez and she's a lovely woman, but for whatever reason microphones have this tendency to turn her into an ice queen. Everything she touches on this remix of Silk Flowers' already chilly "Frozen Moments" turns super-subzero: funk and G-funk synths oozing briefly before being stopped in their tracks and turned into stalactites, while Nite Jewel's voice sounds like Bowie's when he had his head buried deepest in the expensive Colombian snow. I hope I've made this track sound as brilliant as it is—if not, Silk Flowers' new record LTD. Form arrives February 8 through PPM to offer more persuasion.
