In the indie music world, relaxed-fit college rock may be the most divisive. Not really sure why this is—ending a spring party playlist with Luna/Wilco has never done me wrong—but perhaps Scattered Trees and their civilized dreamrock can finally bridge the gap between lovers and haters. “Love And Leave” is a delicate song that gently tumbles forth with earnest guitars and light keys that feel sweet and young. There’s a lot of hope in this music, and we’ve got a lot of hope for this band’s upcoming full-length, Sympathy, this spring.
