2010 ended nicely for our friends from the Great White North, BRAIDS. They had a big showing at CMJ in October and landed a spot on Steregum's 40 Best New Bands of 2010 and garnered some attention from The New York Times, especially for the ever-wistful "Lemonade". But here, fellow Canadians, Green Go, have given it a little bit of a pop-tinged kick, obscuring the gurgle and choir of the original. BRAIDS' debut album Native Speaker comes out January 18, which is available for pre-order here.
