As intimidating as it must be to rewire the work of one of American history's foremost auteurs, you can always rely on Boys Noize to locate the dread. Dread is something that's always lurked somewhere around the surface of Lynch's work—in the original version of "Good Day Today", it hung most obviously in house chords stretched just past the point of discomfort, so it's reassuring to know that Alexander Ridha recognised that too. They're what he builds his remix around, before peppering it with hollow air gunshot sounds and mechanical clanks. Other remixes come from Underworld, Skream and (bizarrely) Sasha, but if it's the unmuddied vision you're after, "Good Day Today" arrives with "I Know" as a double-A side single through Sunday Best on January 31 (pre-order here).
