UK new jack Krystal Klear is on a dance music mission and part of it includes creating sample-free original material. From the sound of it, a listener can only glean that some of that mission is to get you from the dance floor through the bedroom door. On "Tried For Your Love", he's wrangled himself an all-out R&B-infused boogaloo that feels apt for date night, whether your preferred mating ritual is picnicking or dark bar carousing. Glaswegian superstar of electronic exuberance, Hudson Mohawke, has put his mark on this remix with a certain kind of glimmering effect that he throws on most of his work. It's the sparkle found on his track, "Joy Fantastic" (which also soundtracks his Internet video game, Butterstar Galatica) and transforms Krystal Klear's joint into a hybrid of Chicago House vibes and 1970s NYC disco scene sound.
