PREMIERE: The Morning After Girls - Alone
.jpg)
The Morning After Girls are Australia's answer to the Dandy Warhols and the Brian Jonestown Massacre, which should make it no surprise, then, that they've toured with both. Less diva than Anton and lighter on the drugs, the band is back after a couple of years on hiatus with its breed of pop-minded pychedelia. Exclusively released as an unsigned record on iTunes in 2009, "Alone" is the title track from the album that will now finally find its way to shelves courtesy of Xemu. Mixed by Alan Moulder of My Bloody Valentine and Interpol fame and recorded in a church in the Australian Outback, Alone finds the band polishing what it does best, feel good psyche-rock for the cutie crooner set and softened shoegazer alike.
