Munchi: young gun, prodigious Moombahtonista, reggae king collaborator. Taking that sound invented by Dave Nada—the product of slowing down Dutch house records to reggaeton speeds—Munchi's "Shottas" is wonky and warbled with gravel-voiced Mr. Lexx (who you may remember from Major Lazer's "Hold The Line") spitting fire, like he would riding over any riddim. You can find it on Munchi's Murda Sound EP out now on T&A. But on this remix, LA tropical techno technicians Camo UFOs turn the otherworldly original into a jungle track. It doesn't necessarily sound like the right place for Mr. Lexx's gruff ruff, but his toughness suits up quite nicely with the heavy drum and bass of the refit.
