DOWNLOAD: Silk Flowers - Band Of Colour
For a band who deal in shades of grey, "Band Of Colour" sees Silk Flowers turning relatively kaleidoscopic. The usual elements remain—Aviram Cohen still sings like someone has their foot on his throat and drums and bass still refuse to talk to each other, working away in their own defined spaces. Something that sounds perfect, hopeless and empty is given hope halfway through, however, when the pace picks up and synths twinkle shyly into earshot. Cohen's vocal changes from uncaring into a plea, which is important, because it suggests that maybe Silk Flowers don't want to be sad on their own any more. We'll know for sure when their next LP, Ltd. Form, arrives through Dean Spunt's PPM in January.
