What do I like about this track? That it sounds like Eddie Van Halen or Phil Collins busting out a dubstep version of "Jump" or "Two Hearts". I've never heard those trademark synth flourishes sounding so perky. It's like a version of dubstep directed by Richard Curtis, and it makes me dream of a better life where Danny Byrd, Plan B and I are love rivals who, after exchanging a series of light-hearted unpleasantries, eventually bond over our appreciation for the same girl. Instead, I've just got to look at the videos he's made with Kaya Scodelario and try not to direct the hatred inwards. The original version of "Love Goes Down" is out December 6 through Atlantic. God she's beautiful.
