As of September, DFA’s other finest/original electro vet/studio carpenter Shit Robot has an album out called From The Cradle To The Rave. It's quite good: full of citric pop-funk, disco-house strings, and cameos from the label family—James Murphy, Alexis Taylor, and here, Our Show star Nancy Whang. “Take ‘Em Up” is cross-pollination at its best, with Whang’s ice-princess-in-a-jumpsuit vocals skating calmly over Shit’s bouncy, retro-dance bassline.
