It's hard to rap and be heartfelt without sounding like a dick, bu this track manages to make both Dels and Ghostpoet sound like people worth talking to. Its name's indicative, I think—it's serious, no mistaking that, but the rappers sound self-effacing, too: as I suppose you'd have to be if you'd just written a ballad about missing your grandad called "Trumpalump". Maybe the presence of Hot Chip's Joe Goddard, who works with Dels on the regs, has something to do with its understated, maudlin grace. "Trumpalump" is out November 29 through Big Dada.
