PREMIERE: Loredana - Rain Rain (Nicolas Makelberge Remix)
Loredana is kind of the Romanian Kylie Minogue, so you understand when I say anyone looking to add more glitz to "Rain Rain" is setting themselves a hard task. Then again, it'd take a hard heart to deny its starry-eyed sense of wonder, so maybe Nicolas Makelberge has it right with his take, which puts more spring in the original's step, more twinkle its glimmer. It's a great track from a great compilation—Makelberge's interpretation is one of 50 (fifty!) featured on Rain Rain Remixed, curated by Warmer Climes figurehead/hero Vlad Stoian. The collection, featuring versions by The Tough Alliance's Henning Fürst and Young Galaxy among others, is out this month.
