The most remarkable thing about the track is that it's probably the furthest Wiley's ever wandered from his grimey east London roots. Alesha Dixon has tougher history than this, but after a recent transformation by light entertainment TV ubiquity, it's fair to say she's long left the streets behind. Wiley, though, just doesn't seem able to—even as diva vocals wail out over epically charging synths, his verse still sounds spat over a song that for the most part resembles a sloppy kiss. For all Eskiboy's bleating about the radio, on a track like this his voice still sounds like that of a caller, phoning in from somewhere more real. Maybe it's just me, but I think there's something quite moving about that.
