I like bands that come in pitching low almost as much as the ones who crash into your life screaming about how they're gonna make the sun glow green, and Trophy Wife, with their "ambitionless office disco", certainly fall into the former category. 'Way to sell yourself,' you might think, but it's in the inferences of that phrase that the Oxford trio exist, their sweet sulks hinting at almighty tantrums to come. If you go by the name Zen Death Squad, however, chances are you're not gonna be so big on inferences, and their remix of "Microlite" promptly dismisses all Trophy Wife's modesty in favour of coruscating synth blasts and haywire mechanical whirring.
