Even in Times New Viking's most raucous moments passed, there's always been something comforting lurking at the core of their noise. "No Room To Live" moves the Ohio three-piece on into the next stage of pissed off-ness: anger and aggression giving way to a glum resignation that's overwhelmingly endearing. Find this (relatively) gentle slacker strum-along on a handmade, tour only 7-inch they're shifting at their CMJ shows in New York this week. A new, fifth album arrives next year, though we aren't taking this as evidence of a mellowing. That'd be kind of foolish, I think.
