Black Devil Disco Club’s newest tease came to us with the caveat that it was the strangest slice of discoid noise yet from the est. 1978 electro-disco outfit. But really, Bernard Fevre’s music has always had a hellacious bent. “My Screen,” feat. Nicholas Ker of French spinners Poni Hoax, could very well be the soundtrack to a Labyrinth remake—its rich, frayed texture of early electronic dance bubbles with haunted house synths and fiendish (and righteously fun) vocals. More weirdness can be copped here—including all of BDDC’s backlog and info on upcoming album Circus, which “My Screen” previews.
