Emerged, first, from the UK post-punk scene that spawned This Heat, The Pop Group, Slits and so many others back when the Seventies were turning awkwardly into the Eighties, people have been waiting for Family Fodder's new album Classical Music for over a decade. "Death And The Maiden" does its best to live up to the record's name, but Nico and pervert poets are there, too, among the plucked and soaring strings.
