PREMIERE: Sleigh Bells - Tell 'Em (Kingdom Remix)
In the battle of best album opening track, "Tell 'Em" off of Sleigh Bells' Treats is an obvious contender for top spot on the list—Derek Miller raining down tough spasms with Alexis Krauss' punk rock kewpie doll ferocity atop. It's electronic lightning bolts that pierce the nerves that make you move and that's why the kids lose their minds when the band slays the stage. To remix could be, perhaps, be a shame, but Kingdom dropped an about-face on the track that is equally engaging. The rhythms remain the same, but it's much less punishing, favoring a crawling rave hip twist over mosh pit slams and churning the vocals into electro nymphette coos. Looks like Kingdom very well did his best today.
