As London bass continues to work itself, beat-by-clever-beat, into previously uncharted emotional territories, Hot City are revelling in the neglected party spaces left behind. They're the sorts who'd rather spend their time reworking slimy late Nineties boy band Another Level than investigate the hauntological possibilities of the rave, and that sense of fun is still evident here even as Bad Autopsy remixes "Twist" into something with more nerve and shudder than the original. Featuring MC DT (y'know, "Do You Really Like It?") this is less for zoned-out chinstrokers, and more one for clubland's funboys to get sloppy to at weekends. It's out October 18 through Moshi Moshi, with another fresh cut called "Lonely Boy" on the B.
