School Of Seven Bells have a long history with us here at RCRD LBL, one that was extended as recently as last week when we lauded Active Child's beautiful, bliss-sapping remix of their "Heart Is Strange". This time it's SVIIB's turn to take up remix duties, but what results is no less liable to stop your heart in its busy tracks, their version of "Garden Grow" smoothing what edges Our Broken Garden's original had into the sound of electricity crying. There are reasons for that long history, and all of them are on show here—Our Broken Garden's relationship with us might be shorter just now, but when their new album Golden Sea comes out next week through Bella Union we're all gonna get loaded on cheap wine and talk to each other in the dark until our souls are sloshing around in the same sore cage.
