Violens’ “In The Trees” reworking of “Acid Reign” is so lushly divergent from the original’s thrash-pop alchemy, it's offered on both their mixtape and their new Terrible Records 7-inch split with Twin Shadow. It’s also the version visualized in this recent video. Consider it a musical take on sobbing in the stall at prom, with easy-listening riffs, harsh-reality sentiments, and a teary, gossamer refrain.
