What with A Place To Bury Strangers' recent disturbing of Bowie's ghost, it feels like we've had more heartfelt tributes here at RCRD LBL this week than there will be at Nelson Mandela's memorial service, but "A Salty Salute" is the sort of track that bears repeated listens. Eternal Summers stay loyal to Guided By Voices' original, but tearing up trees isn't always the way to go, as my killing off of the 20th century's two most iconic men in this blurb attests. Eternal Summers' debut album Silver is out next week through Kanine.
