Don't get it twisted—this may be dripping in 70s disco, but it's not a throwback jam. Escort is an enormous band (nineteen members!) from Brooklyn who specialize in live house music assaults. "Cocaine Blues" is a bass-heavy anthem for debauch, calling out two of the USA's biggest party cities, New York and Chicago. It comes out on a 12-inch in October, with remixes from Ewan Pearson and Greg Wilson, both of which maintain the dancey integrity of the original, which you can check out here for free.
