The Drums and Arcade Fire are both prone to sudden, melodramatic fits, even if, generally speaking, the former's seem to be provoked by trials of youth and the latter's by the onset of adulthood. Follows, then, that Jonathan Pierce and co's cover of "We Used To Wait" should turn the original's quiet gloom into a tantrum of pouting bass and remonstrating guitar angles, Pierce shouts sounding sent from a wet face through a snotty nose. The effort's an outtake from a BBC Live Lounge session recorded with Huw Stephens at last weekend's Reading Festival—hear the whole thing here.
