There isn't anything overtly bluesy about "New York City Hotel Blues," though its seedy, blown out aesthetic could presumably qualify—it certainly sounds dirty and bleary-eyed, which is half the battle. This is a slight detour for the previously jaunty Indiana troupe Margot & The Nuclear So And So's, whose new album, Buzzard, arrives on September 21.
