Many, many men laughed when Allez-Allez said it was possible for Ghost Hunter's "Island Barbados" to be somehow less upfront—that swelter-stung, languidly flaring thing with the jelly legs and the slowly rotating holiday photos where its eyes should be. Those men obviously hadn't reckoned with the power of summer rain, which is what this seems to have been washed in—beautiful, shy stuff that defies the title of Allez-Allez's new Hideous Racket EP. The original version of "Island Barbados" is out now through the champs at House Anxiety.
