Soon, boutique label Black Iris will release their Local Natives and Free Energy split 7-inch. In the meantime, they’re gifting this wild, genre-busting remix by Lewis Pesacov (Fool’s Gold, Foreign Born). Pesacov gets his hands dirty with “Wide Eyes,” molding it into a thick, bumping summertime jam. There’s still plenty of soft-hearted yelping, it’s just now simmering under a trick beat so rapper Aristotle Pop A Bottle’s can spit some quick southern verse.
