A proper indie rock band since the age of fifteen, Bombay Bicycle Club’s swift rise to the top of UK charts would be irritating if it weren’t so deserving (earlier this year they garnered NME’s Best Band of 2010, beating out juggernauts La Roux and The xx). Their records aren’t stateside yet, but we’ve got a preview in the infectious single “Lamplight," a tune sprung from purist rock, taffy licks, and leg-shaking earnestness. I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose comes out later this month, and is so good we won't rumble on about how those lucky Brits have been dancing to it for months.
