It's fitting that Freddie Gibbs' National Anthem and first single from his forthcoming Str8 Killa No Filla EP isn't really a "single" at all, but a mission statement. "Fuck The World" sticks a fat middle finger in the face of the labels, radio DJs, fake emcees, industry politics and haters who've tried to keep Gibbs down but instead have succeeded at making him stronger. He's a veteran of the major label system, a cast-away too proud and too talented to retire. Instead, he laced up his boots and did it all on his own, with his unbeatable baritone, uncompromising storytelling, and blue collar ambition leading the way. Str8 Killa No Filla drops on Decon July 29.
