Consider this post your day's much-needed slap-in-the-face, a two-headed hydra of 'floor-scraping British dance music. And you can thank the brains at This Is Music for it. Begin with an unreleased live version of Simian Mobile Disco's new single "Aspic," which contains enough crowd noise to make you feel like you're actually there, losing your marbles to their acrid synth barrage. (Might we suggest an obscene headphone volume for the desired effect.) Beyond that is a new one from chameleonic London killer Boy 8-Bit that could be considered house if it didn't have double kick fills and other befuddling drum twists. We honestly don't know what the hell it is, but that's kind of dude's m.o., and it's not like we're complaining.
