This lolloping, wide-eyed indie-rock effort, pulled from Hot Club de Paris' new EP, has a very strange name. It has a very strange name because it tells a very strange story - that of "baritone guitarist Paul Rafferty’s scrape with the law whilst attempting the liberation of a 3 metre fibreglass Pterodactyl from a derelict fun fair," apparently. Is that strange? Or is that what people do with themselves these days? No, it definitely is strange, and the name of that new Hot Club EP isn't gonna spoil the mood - The Rise And Inevitable Fall Of The High School Suicide Cluster Band arrives through Moshi Moshi on May 24.
