"20 Miles" is Deer Tick in widescreen–a nice dollop of piano and reverb and a more sullen, restrained feel to their typically mangy, gravel-voiced highway rock. The new album it's pulled from, The Black Dirt Sessions, is due out June 8 through Partisan, their third release in as many years for the label and proof that prolificacy doesn't have to come at the expense of quality.
