Before we'd even seen a photo, we knew Melbourne's Oh Mercy was the sort of band that make you feel hopelessly unfashionable. Their spry, guitar-led neo-soul is just so immaculate and refined, anything but the most dapper wardrobe would've been a disappointment. Of course, we wouldn't have pegged them for goat friendlies, but we'll take that as well. "Lay Everything On Me," which sounds Black Rebel Motorcycle Club bowing at the altar of Tom Jones, is from their debut album, Privileged Woes.
