PREMIERE: Django Django - Skies Over Cairo
"Skies Over Cairo", found lurking on the B-side of Django Django's new single "WOR", sees the quartet resting their mantra of "Booze, broads and barbershop chords" and embarking instead upon an instrumental Saharan sojourn that takes in snake-charmer synths and the same polyrhythms that weave through the music of The Beta Band, whose John Maclean is the brother of Django man Dave, not incidentally. "Wor" is out now through The Bonjour Branch.
